Sara, it makes me happy that you can go from career woman to a happy mom who is at home in the kitchen and enjoys domestic undertakings. The apple butter looks amazing (I can almost smell the wonderful aromas) and how nice of you to share in such a lovely way. By the way, your great-grandmother, Beulah, made a huge batch of apple butter (no crock pots then--she had a huge cast iron kettle) every autumn. It is a smell that, along with the turning of leaves, I associate with my favorite time of year--fall!
