Graduation Day!

Lily has been going to The Little Gym of Lexington since we moved here about a year ago. She loves it and has really excelled in all the "skills" that they teach her.

At the end of each semester, they do a little graduation medal ceremony for the kids. I wanted to make the whole day special for Lily, so we started with some homemade mini cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. Lily helped make the icing :) Josh was even able to show up for the ceremony!

Splish Splash!!!

We had a great morning at the park with Renee and Emma Jane. Renee was smart enough to bring along EJ's rain boots so she could splash around in the small creek at the park. She was also sweet enough to let Lily have a turn in the boots. I'll make sure we have our rain boots, too, next time!
We ended our play-date with wraps, smoothies and a little extra playground time at Tropical Smoothie Cafe...it was a great day!

Bath Foam Fun!!

Sick baby = no Dora Live :(

We were supposed to go see DORA LIVE in Raleigh, NC this weekend.  We got the tickets last December when I was super sick and stuck in bed all day.  Josh thought it would be something fun to look forward to and help get me through the next few months.  Unfortunately, Lily picked up a 24 hour stomach bug that totally messed up our plans :(

She got sick in her crib early Friday morning, followed by two more little accidents every 30 minutes.  She was starting to look a little better so I gave her some oatmeal and juice.  She kept it down all day and we were starting to get a little optimistic about Dora.  We though it would be good to get out of the house for a bit that night, so we went to Zaxby's for dinner.  She was pretty fussy the whole time we were there and wasn't at all interested in eating anything.  So we were in the parking lot about to put her in my car when she proceeded to projectile strawberry yogurt everywhere (what a sweet baby for doing this before she got in the car).

She seemed to bounce right back again, so we decided to pack our bags and see how the night went.  She was so pathetic that we decided to let her sleep with us that night.  Well, at about 1 am we woke up to our poor baby projectiling yet again...all over our new bedding :(

All hope for Dora Live was lost at this point.  That was the last time she got sick, of course, so we probably could have gone.  Oh well, it was still a very memorable weekend!

I just knew these cookies would make her feel much better!  They didn't...

Lily & her new Frog Potty

So we've mastered getting some toilet paper (Lily's favorite part), sitting on the potty, wiping and flushing.  Now we just have to work on actually PEEING in the potty.  So close, yet so far away!

A day at the ZOO!

Lily and I went to the Zoo last Friday.  It was time to renew our yearly pass, so we decided to upgraded and now get super wrist bands that let us do all the fun stuff (carousel, train rides, ponies, etc.) for FREE!  It's like being a VIP :)  Lily quickly caught onto the whole concept and would proudly hold her hand up and show off her band to every zoo employee we passed by!

I did about 3 hours by myself before Josh could get off work and meet up with us.  I think it was probably the hottest day in Columbia so far, and I decided not to bring a stroller for some crazy reason.  But my big pregnant self somehow made it through the day (with lots of sympathetic looks and comments from everyone).
