Christmas Craft Idea

I just wanted to share a cute idea that I totally stole from my girlfriend, Amanda.
She made these ornaments to use as place cards for a dinner party we recently had at my house for Renee and baby Vivian:

I thought it would be fun to make these for our neighbors this Christmas.  They are quick, super easy, inexpensive and so cute!

Here's what you need:
Clear glass ornaments, scrapbook paper, a pencil, scissors, ribbon, a hole puncher and name cards (optional)

-Start by cutting your construction paper into strips.  I did mine about 6 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.  I tried various lengths and widths and thought this worked best.
-Wrap each individual strip around your pencil:
- Slip the rolled up paper into the glass ornament:
- I put 6 in each ornament
- Loop a ribbon through (and add a card if you want) and you're done!
I'm also going to make some of this and put it in these cute bags from Target to go along with the ornaments:
If you're wondering what the girls did while I made all these ornaments...
A little Mickey Mouse Club never hurt anyone :)

  3. Cute! Brooks' sister did that for us when we got married using strips of wrapping paper from shower presents. Good idea for neighbors!
