Saluda River Club Fall Festival
Our neighborhood had their Fall Festival last Sunday. There were hay rides, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, and an oyster roast! I think Lily managed to retrieve a piece of candy corn from every single one of our neighbors that day. She LOVES candy corn. Every time we pass by the dish full of candy corn in our house she points to it says, "I want some". So, I obviously had to make her a candy corn dress for the party.

Pumpkin Patch
Today we went to Harmon's Pumpkin Patch in Columbia. Lily had lots of fun running around the property and getting grass stains all over her new smocked pumpkin dress! We left with 6 pumpkins and lots of cute pics:

October is finally here!!!
I LOVE the month of October! Unfortunately, Lily and I have spent the first week at home with colds. She started feeling yucky Saturday morning and passed it onto me Monday. We are both feeling much better now and are ready to start our fall celebrations. We have so many fun things planned for this month: Saluda River Club Fall Festival, the Pumpkin Patch, Boo at the Zoo, our trip to Memphis, and Lily's Halloween Party!
Here are some pics of Lily getting into the fall spirit!
I made some really yummy tropical granola bars yesterday that I thought I would share. I found the recipe on one of my favorite cooking blogs, For the Love of Cooking . Next time I'll probably either chop up the macadamia nuts of leave them out all together. I found them to be a little overpowering and hard for Lily to eat.

Picnic in the park!
Several of our friends came over to our neighborhood Friday for a picnic in the park. The weather in Lexington has been beautiful lately so we had to take advantage!
We ended up with a HUGE spread for lunch: Hummus and pita chips, spinach dip, sushi, homemade chicken salad, rice crispy treats, and Krispy Kreme donuts...delicious!!! (and that's not even including what we brought for the girls)
Here are some pics of Lily and Friends (Kaitlyn, Addie, and Emma Jane):
